Co-developing a sexual and reproductive health and rights conceptual framework with climate affected adolescents

On December 17, 2025 the CARE Project brought together government officials, researchers, academics, and program managers in a stakeholder workshop on understanding the impact of climate change on sexual and reproductive health and rights of adolescents from climate-affected communities. The session opened with remarks from Dr. Laura Reichenbach, followed by an introduction to CGSRHR by Dr. Sabina Faiz Rashid. The project and study aims were introduced by Selima Sara Kabir, highlighting why climate-vulnerable contexts demand urgent attention to adolescent SRHR. Wafa Alam presented early insights from Satkhira and Dhaka, showing how heat stress, salinity intrusion, displacement, and disrupted education are already shaping young lives. Through interactive group sessions, participants identified key vulnerabilities, mapped existing services, and outlined practical pathways for stronger SRHR–climate coordination.
